How much is an AGA cooker?

A guide to AGA pricing, models and what's included in the cost – helping you choose the right cooker for how your family lives

Buying an AGA isn't like buying any other cooker. For many of our customers, it's something they've been thinking about for years – sometimes since childhood, remembering their parents' kitchen on a Sunday morning, that particular warmth and the smell of something wonderful slowly cooking.

An AGA is an investment in how your family will gather and make memories for years to come. Which is why understanding not just the cost – but what's included in the price and which model will work for your life – matters so much.

After nearly a century of working with AGAs, we've helped hundreds of families navigate this decision. We're on hand to answer any questions you might have. Here's what you need to know.

What affects the price of an AGA?

The cost of an AGA ranges from £7,650 to £26,140 – quite a span, which reflects the breadth of what's available. The right one for you depends on how you'll actually use it: your family size, how you cook, the space you're working with, and whether you're drawn to the most modern innovations or prefer that traditional AGA character.

The three most popular categories of AGA models are each designed for different cooking styles and kitchen spaces:

AGA R3 100-4h

The 3 Series – The practical one

These are brilliant first AGA cookers and a practical choice for families who want that traditional warmth with modern flexibility. In this range you’ll find the compact AGA 60 – perfect if you're working with a smaller kitchen or replacing a standard 60cm oven – right up to larger models with multiple ovens and flexible cooking zones. From £7,650 to £20,345.

The 7 Series – The workhorse

This is where you'll find our most popular model, the ER7 150-5i. Designed for families who really use their kitchens. We're talking five separate ovens, multiple cooking zones, and the kind of flexibility that means you can go from midweek speed cooking to weekend entertaining without breaking stride. About 75% of our customers choose cookers from this series. From £15,480 to £26,140.

AGA ERA 110-3i

The ERA – The contemporary one

AGA's latest innovation is a thoroughly modern cooker – a brilliant option if you're drawn to the look and feel of an AGA but want a high tech approach to cooking. The newest models use touch screens, induction hobs and radiant heat. £19,900.

Most colours come as standard, though the Black Edition (available only on the 7 Series) adds £500. Beyond that, the price you see is the price you pay.

Those are the models – now, what actually happens when you buy one?

What's included when you buy an AGA?

One of the things that surprises our customers – pleasantly, we're glad to say – is how straightforward we make the whole process.

When you buy from us, delivery and installation are always included. We handle everything from your first enquiry to the moment your AGA is warming your kitchen. That includes coordinating with your renovation timeline, navigating awkward corners, and making sure everything's exactly right before we leave.

If you're replacing an old AGA, we'll remove it and arrange recycling. Your old cooker goes back to AGA to be melted down and reborn as new AGAs – a lovely full circle that feels right for something so enduring.

Site surveys are included. Whether it's a conversation to talk through your space or a visit to measure up and assess your installation, we'll do whatever's needed to make sure you're choosing the right model and that installation will go smoothly.

Your AGA comes with a five-year warranty from the point of installation (not order, which matters if we're storing it for you). The first year covers parts and labour, then the remaining four years cover labour. Between that and our service team – who've been looking after AGAs for decades – you're in safe hands.

The only additional cost might come if you're replacing an AGA that sits on an old concrete plinth. Removing that plinth and levelling the floor costs £750. Many builders don't want to take this on, and we've got the kit and experience to handle it. Modern AGAs come with their own plinth that puts them at exactly the right height for your kitchen worktops.

Wondering about running costs? We've written a separate guide covering modern AGA running costs in detail.

Choosing the right AGA for your home

What matters most isn't the headline price – it's finding the AGA that suits how you actually live. Every family uses their kitchen differently. Some of our customers are navigating the chaos of teenage children whose schedules are entirely their own. Others are retired couples who love nothing more than a houseful at the weekend. Each needs something different.

Large family with children or teenagers?
Most of our customers in this position go for the eR7 150-5i (RRP £20,970). Five separate ovens, two hotplates, plus an induction zone give you the flexibility to run it like a traditional AGA or use individual zones as needed. The warming oven is brilliant for keeping food fresh for hours – perfect when everyone's eating at different times after school or clubs. Induction handles quick midweek cooking, while the hotplates come into their own at weekends when you've got a bit more time. Pancakes straight on the simmering plate? Heaven.

A retired couple who love entertaining?
We'd probably point you towards the eR7i 100-3 (RRP £17,735). During the week you can run just the two cast iron ovens to give off that lovely warmth, then when you've got a houseful you can fire up the conventional electric oven too. Suddenly you've got two hot ovens working together – incredibly handy when you're cooking for a crowd. The flexibility means you're not heating more than you need to on a Tuesday evening, but you've got all the capacity you need when grandchildren descend at the weekend.

Couple or young family, perhaps your first AGA?
The eR3 100-4i (RRP £10,980) has a compact footprint – the same width as many conventional range cookers, so it's a natural replacement. Two cast iron ovens (roasting and simmering), a warming oven, cookware storage, plus a hotplate and two-zone induction hob on top. You can leave it on all the time like a traditional AGA, or turn it on and off as needed – plenty of flexibility for modern family life.

Working with a small kitchen?
The AGA 60 (RRP £7,650) is just 60cm wide – the same as a standard oven. It has two cast iron ovens and a traditional hotplate that can be set to simmering or boiling. It fits into standard spaces, works freestanding or built in, and gives you genuine AGA cooking without requiring a complete kitchen redesign.

Replacing an old AGA?

If you're trading in an old AGA, you'll receive 20% off the RRP of your new model. That brings our most popular model, the eR7 150-5i, down from £20,970 to £16,775 – and that includes everything from removal of your old AGA to site survey, delivery and installation. No hidden costs.

We've been one of AGA's original five distributors since 1932. Three generations of working with these cookers means we understand them from daily experience, not just product specifications. When we recommend a model, it's based on how you'll really use it – the morning routine, the Sunday roasts, whether it needs to stay on overnight for the dog.

If you'd like to talk through which AGA might work best for your family, we're here to help.
