Edwards & Godding (Reading) Ltd. (Inc. No. 843801 lond.) trades as Edwards & Godding. This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you.

When do we collect information about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback, participate in competitions or attend cookery demonstrations. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

How will we use the information about you?

It is important to know that Edwards & Godding does not sell your data to third parties for any purpose. We may have to share your information with our suppliers in order to process deliveries, but we will first seek your permission to process your personal information for this sole and specific reason. We will ensure that those suppliers with whom we share your data are GDPR compliant.

We collect information about you in order to provide estimates and then to process your order for a product or a service.

We retain your personal data in order to provide continued service and warranty support.

Data Storage

We are required by law to keep financial data for 7 years.

Any paper records that we keep are periodically securely destroyed. We keep this personal information for as long as they are needed to fulfill the original requirement for which it was collected, for example keeping a service history of a cooker.

We store personal information on an internal server (with the data back ups securely stored) and we also use GDPR compliant cloud services.

We do not store any payment information and all payment data is encrypted by the payment processors that we use: SagePay, Stripe and PayPal.

When we no longer provide a service or at the point you can reasonably expect that your personal information is not needed to fulfill the original requirement for collection, your personal data is anonymised.

Marketing

We do not use the data we have collected about you to send information about products and services of ours unless you have given us your permission to do so. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date.

You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email info@edwardsandgodding.co.uk.

Access to you information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
