The AGA Compact brings together radiant cast-iron cooking with an induction hob, offering increased flexibility for the modern cook. It has a smaller footprint than the Classic or Signature models, and at just 634mm deep, it sits neatly within standard kitchen cabinetry.
It's available from 90cm – the smallest AGA to pair a classic boiling / simmering plate and cast-iron heat-storage ovens with a two-zone induction hob as standard – up to 170cm with the optional 60cm extension module, for households that want the full range of cooking styles. Run the cast iron for that familiar AGA warmth, the induction hob on its own when you want speed, or both together.
Previously sold as the AGA eR3 Series. It's the same cooker – only the name is new.

The AGA Compact is one of four collections in AGA's cast-iron range, alongside the Classic, Signature and Mini – all built on the same radiant, heat-storage cooking. If you'd prefer a fully conventional range cooker instead, our Conventional Collection covers the AGA Masterchef Deluxe and Mercury models. Or browse the full AGA range to compare every collection side by side.
Because every oven and hotplate on the AGA Compact is independently controlled, the question of running costs come down to how you use it. For full model-by-model figures, see our AGA running costs guide.
The AGA Compact does not require a flue, so it doesn’t require an external wall or a chimney breast – just a standard electrical supply and a kitchen ready to receive it. We carry out a free site survey before every installation to confirm what your kitchen needs.
Pair your Compact with a compatible AGA hood.
vs AGA Signature – the Signature (eR7) is a full-depth cast-iron cooker at a depth of 69.8cm which starts at 100cm wide. The Compact starts at 90cm and has a shallower profile at 63.4cm, so it fits standard cabinetry. Choose the Compact for a smaller footprint, the Signature for the fuller AGA presence. AGA Signature
vs AGA Mini – the Mini (AGA 60) is 60cm wide, available as cast iron or conventional. The Compact starts at 90cm and combines cast-iron ovens with an induction hob. Choose the Mini for the smallest kitchens; choose the Compact for more cooking versatility. AGA Mini
