Pomegranate Syrup

I ordered a bottle of the Atkins & Potts Exotic Pomegranate Syrup from the Aga Food Hall (www.agafoodhall.com) as I was intrigued to see what interesting recipes could be based around this sweet and savoury, Middle Eastern inspired syrup.

I will definitely be trying it topped up with Champagne as an alternative to the usual Bucks Fizz and Bellini apéritifs and I imagine there are many different cocktails that it could be used with.

I’ll be posting some other entries over the week with this deliciously sweet and sticky syrup as an ingredient, including drizzled on home-made yoghurt, poured over stove-top rice pudding and baste on a slow roast lamb shoulder.
